List of Materials Needed:
- Large sheet of cardboard (as the course base)
- Colored paper/construction paper
- Popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, straws, or craft sticks
- Modeling clay or playdough
- Tape and glue
- Scissors
- String or yarn
- Small figurines, beads, or buttons (to represent themselves moving through the course)
- Markers, crayons, or paint for decoration

Instructions:
1. Introduce the project by explaining the purpose of this activity. Tell the students that this obstacle course will represent different challenges in their life, perhaps it is homework, making new friends, and others.
2. Have the students explore different ideas to represent each of their obstacle courses. Maybe a wall to climb over can represent a major challenge that is blocking them from performing a certain action. Encourage them to think about different types of challenges (walls to climb, bridges to cross, tunnels to crawl through).
3. Then have them build and decorate the obstacle course.
4. Lastly, have them build a small figure that represents themselves, and imagine themselves going through the obstacle course. What challenges do they face? What is at the end of the obstacle course? How are they jumping through each challenge?
