Instructions:

1. Cut white, letter paper in half and give one to each student.

2. Have students draw their own Inside-Out character on a white piece of paper! Perhaps a specific colored creature that represents their unique traits, such as their current mood, a favorite color, a hobby, or a personality; It can also be a combination of all of those.

3. Then ask the students to draw specific details for the colored character. Maybe it's their favorite shirt, or a favorite hobby, or even drawing the character in their aspired career.

4. Have the students either cut out the character or just directly glue the white paper onto the center of a colorful construction paper.

5. Have the students explain and reflect on their design choices by writing their reflections along the color margins. Include guiding questions such as "Why did you choose this color? Or why did you include this specific piece of clothing? What is your Inside-out character feeling like today? Are they anxious/happy/excited? Why?"
