Instructions:
1. Explain to the students how a color-behavior ladder works if they've never encountered one before.
2. Start by gluing all the construction paper together to create a template. You can also have the students use an already-created template from online.
3. Then start brainstorming for ideas for possible goals or achievements the students would like to accomplish during class. Have them write these ideas down on the very top, this can be their "best" color section.
4. Then have the students write where they are currently and place it at the middle, leaving bebehind one space between the "best" section and this section.
5. In that space, have them brainstorm about possible steps that would take them to their goal.
6. Lastly, for the section below the "current them" section, you can either choose to have them do 2 more sections, or just one. These can represent their negative emotions, or what they are scared about coming to school, or what they want to work on, and how they can overcome these challenges.
