- If you're feeling realistic: have students grow their garden on a fake patch of grass!

Instructions:
1. Explain to the students about the activity: they are creating a personal “garden world” that reflects who they are.
2. Have the students plan out the different parts of their garden, and roughly skectch out each part.
- for example:
Flowers = positive traits or happy feelings
Rocks/obstacles = challenges they face
Trees = goals or things they are growing toward
Decorative items = hobbies, friends, or dreams
Or there can be more direct symbols or objects.
3. Use the materials, and the students can start building their garden on top of the given cardboard box or fake grass patch.
4. Once finished, have each student (individually or in small groups) share what the different parts of their garden mean to them.
